MODERN MUSIC WILL NOT BE RELEASING ANY NEW MUSIC FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF ILLEGAL DOWNLOADING TAKING PLACE WHICH IS CRIPPLING THE MUSIC BUSINESS. IF THE GENERAL PUBLIC FINALLY DECIDES TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES ABOUT THE EXTREMELY NEGATIVE AFFECTS THEIR ACTIONS ARE HAVING, WE MAY HAVE AN INDUSTRY AGAIN. UNTIL THEN, ARTISTS WILL SUFFER, LABELS WILL CLOSE AND THE MUSIC BUSINESS WILL CONTINUE TO DOWNSIZE.

10.05.07 SMALL MERCIES SINGLE MOST ADDED TO AUSTRALIAN RADIO
Small Mercies debut single "Innocent" was the most added song to Australian Radio last week. Is was officially added to over 80 commercial radio stations and is getting played up to 6 times a day on some stations. "Innocent" is available at retail on May 26th through SonyBMG.

09.05.07 MASTERING STUDIO NEAR COMPLETION
The construction of Modern's new Mastering facility is almost complete. The last of the acoustic designed walls are going up, the cable is going in and the paint is going on. This is the only Mastering Studio of it's type in QLD and Nthern NSW. Experienced engineer Dave Neil with be driving some of the latest and most sophisticated mastering equipment around. 06.03.07 SMALL MERCIES OFFICIALLY SIGNS WITH SONYBMG WORLDWIDE
After months of negotiating Modern Music act Small Mercies has signed to SonyBMG worldwide. Music industry veteran John Woodruff (Savage Garden, Baby Animals, Evermore, Icehouse, The Angels) signed Small Mercies back in 2002 when they were called Blaik. Modern Music's Dave Leonard picked up the bands management in 2004 and then entered into a Joint Venture with John Woodruff as labl and publisher. Small Mercies recording an album with US producer Matt Wallace in late 2006 and the first single is scheduled for release in May 2007. SonyBMG is an excited as we are about the band debut album.
18.12.06 MM ACTS ON BIG DAY OUT
The Butterfly Effect is confirmed for Big Day Out in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA and is scheduled for a Main Stage Slot. Mourning Tide and Repeat Offender have taken the top 2 spots on the local stage at the Gold Coast Big Day Out.
18.12.06 TRIVIUM VISITS AUSTRALIA
Fast growing US metal band Trivium is hitting Australia's shores in Jan/Feb to take part in the Big Day Out and also some side shows on the East Coast. Trivium's "Ember To Inferno" has been one of Modern Music top selling records in 2006.

Modern Music bands The Butterfly Effect, Repeat Offender and Mourning Tide will Join US bands Helmet and God Forbid on a massive line-up at Overcranked 2007 on March 24th at the Brisbane Show Grounds.
